The Station Hotel was designed by William Williamson of the Findlay & Dunn practice, responsible for the Scotsman Buildings in Edinburgh. Recognised as a master of high quality Renaissance Arts & Crafts Architecture, William Williamson was commissioned in the late 18th century to design Kirkcaldy’s premium hotel and dining.
The building is designed in an eclectic Arts & Crafts style and was opened as a hotel in 1903 to serve the industrial heart of Fife.
